Following the recent research, there is no significant difference between drinking milk 3 times a week or less.
In different trial with fortified milk with calcium, the bone mineral density were increased for 2 years, however, unfortunately after that period the increase stopped.
An alternative for increasing bone density is to take calcium supplements, even though there are unexpected side effects from it. Sadly, it helped only 1or 2 years in maximum.
Good news is cheese and yogurt consumption was associated with lower facture rate, the Swedish team found. Nevertheless this research result, the team need more studying for changing the consumption advice about absorbing of calcium in public.
