We all have occasional hunches. Everyone at times has strong feelings that he/she should proceed with a certain action. We are usually delighted when we find that it worked for us. But we don’t always trust those hunches or feelings. We talk ourselves out of acting on them for fear that we are being silly, or they don’t seem to make sense at the time. Our egos (conscious mind) might give us an argument.
It’s too bad we aren’t taught from childhood that those feelings are a very important part of our mind, our intuition, giving us instruction. And it is instruction for our good, not for bad. If we were taught this was a normal part of us, we would grow up trusting the voice inside, knowing it would give us help. We don’t even have to ask all the time. That little voice is the voice of our higher selves. We are physical beings, but we also have a spirit that is connected to the Universe, and it knows all there is. That part of us only wants good for us.
So much has been written about the subject of intuition. Women’s intuition has been talked about forever. Of course, men would have to have the same ability. But they are certainly taught from birth that it probably isn’t possible.
Whether you’re a man or a woman, how many times have you called someone, and they have said, “I was just thinking about you.” How often have you thought to yourself, “I knew when I started I shouldn’t do that.” There are thousands of stories about people changing their usual driving route, only to find out there was some sort of accident or hold-up that would have delayed their trip. (Or perhaps they could have been in that accident! How many times have you had the feeling you should call someone, and then you didn’t. Maybe that person really needed someone at that moment. Your intuition might have been prompting you to help, and you didn’t listen.
Begin, today, to trust that voice. Following through with what it’s telling you. You will have made one of the best friends you could possibly have. And give it a good chance. Remember, you may not be used to listening and trusting. It takes practice, practice, practice. Keep at it.
My hope is for your day to be filled with meaningful messages,
